Well it’s certainly been an interesting three months here at Retox. We’ve been working remotely throughout the lockdown, communicating via Skype, Zoom etc. and balancing home life and social distancing with the delivery of digital and creative projects.
Remote team briefings and client conferencing have become the norm and whilst they have occasionally been interrupted by screaming kids or barking dogs, in general terms we have continued with business as usual. Homeworking has delivered more flexibility, coffee and lunch breaks have often been timed to coincide with GMTV, the governments daily COVID19 briefings, and deadlines permitting, we can take advantage of a sunny lunch break outdoors.
For some of us, the kitchen has been too close, and the weight is creeping on. For others, the endless cakes and biscuits that are always being passed around the office is no longer a temptation and we’re looking fitter for it. As a Team, our spirit remains high and having avoided furlough, we are all focused on working hard, helping our clients and making sure we are equipped to survive whatever comes next.
We’ve seen a demand for e-Commerce, chatrooms and other technology that is helping our clients stay engaged with their customers during lockdown. There certainly seems to be a trend across all client sectors to look at how their websites can contribute more and help them bridge gaps in service delivery and information that have been created due to the pandemic.
The team as always have worked hard and pulled together producing work that we are proud of. This includes new product websites for Oreo and Milka Ice Cream, two new e-Commerce websites that will be launched very soon and a retro style site for Journey Enterprise.
There are clearly some tough times ahead for us all and like everyone else in the region, Retox will rise to the challenges ahead.
